Nutrilite continues to pursue phytonutrient research as significant investments for the future

The Nutrilite Global Phytonutrient reveals a gap between the amount of fruits and vegetables we consume versus the ones recommended by the World Health Organization. Due to our hectic schedules and limited access to fresh produce, as well as personal preferences, we lack the nutrient we all need. Food supplements can really be helpful in preventing vitamin deficiencies which our body needs. According to a recent research, 3 in 4 adults worldwide do not meet the WHO recommended minimum of five servings [400 grams] of fruits and vegetables per day. Phytonutrients is the key to achieve optimal health. Phytonutrients is the organic components found in plants that can help promote eye, bone, joint and heart health, as well as support immune and brain function.

“These results are a big part of helping people understand how they can and should eat in order to fill their nutritional gaps and make an investment each and every day to live healthier lives for the benefit of their families and for themselves. Nutrilite’s philosophy of optimal health embodies healthy balanced nutrition that includes an abundance of plant foods and regular physical activity as two key foundational components for everyone,” said Dr. Keith Randolph, technology strategist at the Nutrilite Health Institute.
“It’s inspiring to pursue a wide range of projects at Nutrilite to stretch my abilities, and to learn from other scientists on our team. I enjoy sharing nutrition information around the world to help them explain the benefits of our products,” said Alli Klosner, nutrition investigator on the supplement product development team at the Nutrilite Health Institute in Buena Park, California, U.S.
As nutrition investigator, Klosner works to ensure the essential vitamins and nutrients contained in Nutrilite supplements are at levels to support optimal health. She also conducts research for substantiation of health claims of the company’s nutrition products. Klosner earned a Master of Science degree in the Genetics of Human Disease with a specialization in pharmacogenetics from the University College of London, U.K. She also conducted research at the UCL Cancer Institute as well as the UCL Cell and Developmental Biology Laboratory. Her research focused on elucidating the genetic mechanisms that underlie early development and contribute to human disease.
A member of the American Society of Nutrition, Klosner also served as contributing writer for EhicsandGentics.org on the ethical considerations surrounding scientific advancements. She recently came to Manila to talk about the importance of phytonutrients and how Nutrilite supplements help for optimal health.
Nutrilite scientist, expert and the President of Nutrilite Health Institute said, “Throughout our history, Nutrilite has taken the lead in nutritional sciences and the use of phytonutrients. We’re staying true to our commitment by combining the best of science and nature and thus we become a global health and wellness leader.”
