Attention K-Pop Fandoms! The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in partnership with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Ateneo Initiative for Korean Studies are inviting Korean language enthusiasts to take part in the 2016 Korean Speech Contest.
Participants must compose an original speech that would relate to the main topic of " Growth" and must not be plagiarized from previous works whether from print or the internet. Interested applicants may submit their entry forms until March 30, the announcement of qualified applicants is one April 4. This contest is open to all ages with good proficiency n Korean and must be Filipino citizens. They must not have lived or stayed in Korea for more than a year in the past three years.
The 2016 Korean Speech Contest will also be staging regional competitions on April 23 in the cities of Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Baguio, Pampanga and Manila. The grand finals will be held on April 30 at the Ateneo De Manila University.
The Korean Speech Contest aims to promote the Korean language to more Filipinos. It also encourages the learners of Korean language to enhance their skills in speaking the language.
Regional grand prize winners will win Php5,000 and a round-trip ticket to Manila to compete in the grand finals. The 1st place winner will win a round-trip ticket to Korea courtesy of Korean Tourism Organization and a cash prize of Php30,000.
