We were
recently invited to attend the first part of the three-workshop series of ASUS Philippines held at the Century City Mall with renowned blogger and model
Victor Basa who shared his personal experiences on being a lifestyle blogger,
model, a celebrity and television host. What Mr. Basa had shared was truly
helpful for a blogger like me. I wish that someday I could also have the chance
to travel as much as Mr. Basa had.

Headed by
Mr. Antoneil Harvey Factora, the PR guy and Mr. Alvin Estacio, Technical PR at
ASUS Philippines, the 3-part series were organized as the brand continuously
improve their popularity with innovative awesome products and amazing specs yet
consistently keeping their price range affordable.
If you’ve
been an avid reader of my blog, then you should know by now that I’m probably
the only blogger who does not own a laptop. Yes, you read it right. Believe it
or not, but two to three years ago, I used to blog using my mobile phone via using
a phone app called Bloggerdroid. I still do not own a laptop until now, except
that my best friend had lend me her netbook and I now have my ipad mini to work
on. I still wish to have my very own laptop I can rely on during deadlines. I
am particularly fascinated with ASUS Zenbook. Just like Mr. Basa, his ASUS
Zenbook is what he uses to help him with all of his travels, business meetings
and other work related concerns. I secretly wish I’d also have that luxury of
owning one, so that writing down my thoughts (during those writer’s “aha”
moment will never become a problem anymore) and beating deadlines will be
smooth-sailing for me.
During
the said event and on each ASUS Incredible Workshop, there was a challenge for
participants where they stand a chance to win an ASUS Zenbook. For the ‘Fashion’
series which I’ve attended, they had the #IncredibleStyleChallenge. Those who
participated followed a 3-day challenge of posting their perfect #OOTD looks
with the product, from head to toe and a versatile ensemble.
Unfortunately,
even if I could write a mean fashion article (Trivia: I used to write for a
fashionable print magazine during my younger years!) I have learned to accept
the fact that I am not fashionable enough. I’m more of a t-shirt and jeans type
of person. So even if I can very much describe the kind of cut or textured
print a model wears, I can’t even pass up as a fashion blogger because of the “look
book” and you really have to get that “look”. Hence, I did not stand a chance on
winning that ASUS Zenbook or the equally stylish and ergonomic ASUS Transformer
Flip Book.
Thank
you ASUS Philippines for the opportunity to join such workshops and I’ve had my
hands-on feel with such terrific gadgets which hopefully I could save up for,
in the near future so that I could finally get that laptop I’ve been jonesing
for years.
