Life a Year After My Ex Narcissist Left Me

Time really has a way to make you forget things. I can't believe it's been a year since my ex boyfriend who was a narcissist has left me to get back together with his young 'trophy girlfriend' who's actually one of his main sources of 'supply'. If you ask my opinion, I'd say she's a perfect flying monkey for someone like him (who by the way actually looks like a monkey himself. LOL! :)

Friends would ask me now, how my life's been going on? I could answer anyone straight in the eye without batting an eyelash that yes, I've finally moved on.

I admit it had taken quite sometime before I finally did. But before the end of 2017, I made sure I've recovered well enough from that tragic and traumatic incident in my life. I call it traumatic because I've been abused and used. And I used to have this what they refer to as Stockholm Syndrome or Trauma Bonding where I would still yearn for him despite and inspite of all the bad things he's done to me. I only found out about such term and the condition itself upon research a few months after the separation. I began to question myself, like what was wrong with me? Why was I acting that way? Everything seemed so strange. It was easier to move on if the so-called "relationship" was a genuine one. But no, it was entirely different from my past relationships. It was me loving someone who never really existed in the first place. The "personality" he made to make me fall for him. In reality, after the masks had fallen, I began to understand what really transpired between us. It was just a game that he played so well.

Like a tic-tac-toe. He knew exactly what moves to make, and I was his 'willing' pawn. I had no idea back then that I was being manipulated, that he was trying to control everything in my life. And eventually, after I learned of his masks, he decided to walk away just like that while making it appear that he was 'betrayed' and he was the 'real victim.' That's when  I realized my ex was such a great con artist to begin with.

A relationship is all about bringing out the best in one another. But what if you're bringing out the worst in each other instead? If you are being put down or getting that feeling that you can't be yourself when you are around that person, then this might be a sign that you are in an unhappy and toxic relationship.

TBH, This is how I look at my ex now.

If he constantly talks about his ex-wife (or ex girlfriends) and would oftentimes compares you to her, there's a huge chance that your partner is still hung up over his last relationship.

It does have a lot of other components which may be fresh to the movie goers' eyes. Directed by Yang Song & Chiyu Zhang, the film is an adaptation from a stage play produced by Happy Mahua Pictures, a popular comedy troupes following the success of Goodbye Mr. Loser which incidentally also starred the two.

Car Cover Protection For Your Winter Road Trip

The cold season can be one of the hardest on your vehicle’s outward appearance. Whether you’re heading into rain, sleet, snow or all of the above, you must take the right steps to keep your ride looking its very best. Before you take to the road for your next big winter expedition, make sure you’ve got all you need to maintain your car or truck’s finish, no matter what the elements throw at you.

Pre-Trip Preparation

  •  Preserving the quality of your car’s finish is largely about the right kind of preparation before your journey. Keep these tips in mind for assured results, even in the harshest elements:
  •  Auto protection starts with a good cover. Look for one that’s constructed from strong but breathable fabrics, so as to prevent moisture buildup and limit the potential for corrosion.
  • Fender covers are very helpful, providing a soft layer between your tools and your automobile. This reduces the chances of accidental scratches, stains or smudges while you perform your final under-the-hood maintenance prior to the drive.
  •  An application of wax provides your finish an added measure of protection that’s essential for limiting the effects of winter weather, road salt, etc.

When you're turning 38 and still Single

It is Valentine's Day again and to be perfectly honest, in my last 37 years of existence, I've never been out on a date on Valentine's Day. Not that there's anything wrong with it, or I am making a big deal out of it, but I would have wanted to go out with someone on heart's day, if only there was somebody I could go out with.

Actually, my response to my singleness has started to shift lately. As it is, I am now taking the bull by its horns. I think I am the problem. Nah, my standards with men aren't that high. I think one of the problems was I never even had a standard to begin with, that's why I always end up with jerks, abusers and users.

Why is that so? Thing is, when you're single and older than 35, you don't want to be single anymore. I'd like to call that a problem, or the very least a challenge. And the best way to solve that 'problem' is to start with the things I can control. I need to set a standard in dating men but I had to be realistic with my options.

I can see one common denominator throughout all my years of singleness: me. When I take stock of those years, I see someone who did the best she could, but, honestly, maybe I could do better now. I know there are things in my life that could be keeping me from marriage. What’s kept me from chasing my hopes of a future family with more intensity? Fear. Specifically, fear of two things: fear of failure and fear of looking desperate. What if I try really, really hard, but I still end up single? I’ll feel so stupid! And, what if people make fun of me for turning to dating apps or going out with that guy or for (insert thing here)? What if I look so desperate?

A few years ago when I was looking to change jobs none of those fears applied. I was unhappy with the position I had, and I clearly remember thinking, If I end up back at this same job for the longest time, I will know that’s God’s will for me. It was a solid plan I had for my life. So why was that thought pattern not beneficial in my search for a spouse when it was successful for my searching a new job?

At 37 I’ve decided I’m done with fear (well, at least in this area of life). God has placed the desire for marriage on my heart — I’m sure of that. Without idolizing marriage I’m going to do everything in my power to try and find the guy and build the relationship.

I know my friends are praying for me that eventually I may find "the one" God has prepared for me. I'm praying for you too. I believe it's going to be worth the wait. Whether a future spouse appears in the next few months or years (I do hope soon), I'm going to be ready for you.

I may not be exactly the perfect girlfriend or wife material that you've been dreaming for. But I will love you with all of my heart and soul and I will be perfectly honest with you, all the time. I promise I will be yours completely.

And what have I got to lose? A few evenings or afternoons and maybe some cash, but I'm thinking that's not too big a sacrifice in order to pursue what you want and feel called to.

DITCH CHEMICAL ROMANCE FOR NATURAL LOVE THIS V-DAY WITH NOVUHAIR

Press release:

Its Valentine’s month once again! A month full of seeking to perfectly express your love in beautiful and fabulous ways. This is because they want to ensure they're the apple of the eye of their special someone come the romantic occasion of the year that they will celebrate together.

So if you find yourself being whisked away to a charming place or have planned on a candle-lit dinner date with your beloved, you’ve got every reason to get all glammed up on Hearts Day! Why not? T’is a celebration of love after all.

Make a big impact by putting together a look that brings out the best in you. From your clothes and make-up to the tiny details that count, you have many options to get that stunning aura on V-Day.

Better start with the hair, which usually draws attention to a person. Per studies, a head full of hair indicates youth and health at its best. Power and stability, on the other hand, corresponds to a long, shiny tress. A bouncy bob means bubbly personality. Meanwhile, curly locks add to masculinity and femininity.

Gotta hair like them? Well, don’t lose hope if you ain’t have any. All you need is love. And what a better way if it comes out naturally in you. Taking good care of it should not be enforced, but rather a rewarding pamper for yourself. This applies, too, when choosing the right product for your mane.

Stay away from chemical-based ones. This is a “must”, especially when dealing with problems like shedding or thinning of the hair. Most of which contain parabens as preservative, according to aesthetics and rejuvenation expert Dr. Cecilia Catapang.

“Through the years, as you use chemical-based product, slowly and little by little, your body absorbs the parabens, which accumulate to significant levels, enough to induce what is called an estrogen sensitive breast cancer,” she says.

Synthetic haircare products have several adverse effects because they are drugs. What you don't know about them might hurt you. So avoid it the next time you go over the counter for your supplies or ditch what you’re using today for naturally-made products because they aid in stimulating hair growth while maintaining its natural water, shine and vibrancy.

Amid a glut of chemical-free hair solutions out there, Dr. Catapang recommends NOVUHAIR for its being natural and compliant to the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive, which means it doesn’t have paraben. In addition of its safety benefits, this topical scalp lotion specifically is the only hair growth product in the market containing 19 natural herbs, essential oils and co-factor nutrients working synergistically to help remedy hair problems from growth to vanishing.

NOVUHAIR helps rejuvenate, nourish and maintain moisture in the scalp and improve the overall appearance of the tress. Lastly, it’s more effective and safe solution to help remedy hair loss and promote hair growth.

Sounds like it’s time to shift to “nature’s answer to hair loss”, ladies and gentlemen. It’s time to start loving again your hair with NOVUHAIR to enhance or bring back the old “crowning glory” to look your best in front of your dearest, or turning the head of a potential mate on you this V-Day. Let the love begin!

The Palace Guard Brotherhood Association Inc. calls on Former Presidential Security Guards (PSG) during the Marcos Regime for a 'Reunion'

What is the first thing that comes to mind when the word bravery is said? For most people a superhero comes into their minds. For me, it has always been the Filipino soldier. Every Filipino soldier is the pride of his nation. He defends the honor of his motherland with his life and blood. He has to rise above his own self to defend his nation. His profession brings out the best qualities in him like chivalry, discipline, team sprite, loyalty and steadfastness. His example serves as a beacon light to others who are tame and cowardly. His life is a source of inspiration to the youth of the nation. He has no politics in his makeup. He serves the nation to the best of his ability.

The Palace Guard Brotherhood Association Inc. logo

I salute every Filipino soldier as much as, if not more than as the scholar, the statesman and the poet. The soldier embodies in himself the sprite of youth. So when I heard about this group called The Palace Guard Brotherhood Association Inc., I wanted to get to know more about them.

The first infantry battalion who are the men behind The Palace Guard Brotherhoods Association Inc.

I've found out later that The Palace Guard Brotherhood Association Inc. is an organization composed of former presidential security guards (PSG) during the time of former President Ferdinand Marcos before the historical revolution in 1986. The great and glorious past these soldiers played in the Philippine history will be cherished by generations to come.

The life of a soldier is very tough and full of discipline. One has to be mentally and physically alert to keep his body in fine shape for any battle that may occur at any given time. He is the finest role model of humanity who is prepared to give the supreme sacrifice of his life for the lives of others. He has to brave the  tyrannies of nature and in thunder, lightning or rain, extreme hot or cold, in deserts, mountain or seas, day and night fight continuously for the know of his nation. He has to sacrifice his family life, be away from his children, only to the save the lives of his fellowmen.

Having said that, it is very unfortunate to hear that most of these soldiers and former PSG guards who had rendered indefatigable services to the former President Marcos and his family failed to receive their supposed privileges and other benefits (Republic Act 7696) that most retired soldiers has received.

Mr. Dom Oliveros, The Palace Guard Brotherhood Association Inc. leader/founder
