Come along with me as I use Althea Korea’s Makeup Exclusives
in my product review.
Step 1: Prime the skin
Purple Plum Fairy is still barefaced here, without any makeup |
I prefer to use a primer that’s super lightweight. However,
we need to acknowledge that everyone’s skin is different and I strongly
recommend that you use whatever works best for your complexion. So I applied my
usual moisturizer and waited about a few minutes for it to settle into my skin
before going in with my foundation.
I started off by applying my foundation in swiping motions
across my chin, cheeks, and forehead. I then followed them with a damp beauty
sponge and blended until they appeared completely seamless.
Step 2: Conceal when needed
Althea Flawless Creamy Concealer |
Using Althea Korea Flawless Creamy Concealer in Honey, I
further covered up any redness and dark spots on my face as well as obvious
blemishes, like the corner of my eyes and the dark circles under my eyes. I was
surprised what a major difference this step actually made. My entire face
looked instantly brighter and more lifted.
Step 3: Powder Twice
I don’t know about you but I like to set my foundation and
minimize the shine on my T-zone by powdering twice. For this step, I use the
same damp beauty sponge and pressed the powder directly onto my skin, making
sure that I get all the target areas that tend to be greasy through the day.
Step 4: Brighten your eyes with eye shadow and glitter
I once read somewhere that glitter is to makeup how
sprinkles is to food. I love how Althea’s Sunrise & Moonrise Eye Palette
are made up of unique shades that are seriously sparkly, including a super
dreamy gold glitter you won’t find in other palettes. It offers different
finishes too, glitter, foil and high-impact in color with intensely pigmented
payoff. The metallic shadows in this palette provide just enough shimmer to add
a touch of glam to a natural day makeup look. So switching from a neutral day
makeup to a glam night look is as easy as 1,2,3.

Step 5: Use Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter
Eye Glitter |
If powder eye shadow is not for you, fret not. Althea’s
Spotlight Eye Glitter marries the dewy, glossy eye trend with a fun shimmery
look for a finish that’s not overpowering but definitely not boring.
Step 6: Attract them with those lovely pout
Purple Plum Fairy puts on some lip stain dots on her lips |
A silky long-lasting lip cream stain is what I usually look
for. I need to be covered from day until night. I’m one of those lazy girls who
hates to reapply or touch-up. Luckily, Althea’s Watercolor Cream Tint offers
high-coverage lip color that glides on smoothly and transforms from a creamy
texture into a silky, lightweight stain.
Slowly using her fingertips to dab the stain on her lips |
Lip stains can be quite tricky as they tend to smudge, budge
or transfer. But with a little bit of practice, a few tips I picked from the
pros, it’s going to be easy. I apply a pigmented Althea Watercolor Cream Tint
(in Plum, my favorite hue), to my lips. Be sure to line your natural lips
carefully. If you want to be daring and get a fuller appearance, a stain is a
great product to push your natural lip line easy does it. But for me, less is
usually more.

Blot and let it dry so it doesn’t transfer on your teeth. Let
it sit for a few seconds and then blot the color off with a tissue until I’m
left with the color that has stained on my lips. I then seal the lip stain
Slowly apply s light coat to your top and bottom lip. After a few minutes or
so, re-apply the lip stain on both the top and bottom lip. Again, wait for the
product to dry completely.
Wearing a gloss on top of this product might cause it to
smudge or transfer and seeing how this is a matte finish, it’s not meant to
shine.
