My Greenfield Weekend Market Experience where good vibes meets good food

With my friends Ia Adam-Lim, Daryll Dial Villena and Purple Plum Fairy
Load up on fresh food, arts, vintage books and music at Greenfield weekend market. Get your fill of seasonal produce, vintage books and handmade arts and crafts at Greenfield Weekend market at the Greenfield District along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.

Flavored ice cream with alcohol on it, anyone? A plastic cup stuffed with skewers  of isaw, charred and crunchy on the outside, meaty on the inside. Really thick smoothies and milktea cups in various flavors. Sizzling sisig, Schublig sausages, Cebu lechon belly, buffalo wings in different flavors--authentic Vietnamese cuisines cooked upon order--name it, Greenfield Weekend Market has it all!

Located within the Greenfield Business District along Shaw Boulevard, this market features regular stallholders, and is curated by the Greenfield Weekend Market team. Each weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) the vast garden space is transformed into a foodie's playground, selling everything from classic pastries and artisan breads to organic fruits, alcoholic ice cream and barbecue. Don't leave without trying the freshly made Vietnamese rice rolls – trust us, the queue is worth the wait. Greenfield Weekend market is less than 10 minutes walk from MRT Shaw Boulevard Station.

Today, food parks and weekend markets are sprouting like mushrooms all over the Metro. A few years back, one had to drive some distance to be able to enjoy eating in a food park. Now, everything seems like walking distance.

There's really something that you'd surely fancy here. Be it the food, the on-the-spot charcoal painting or even the tarot reading booth with a fortune teller. For family and friends, there are giant board games you can play with like Scrabble, Tic Tac Toe and many other stuff you can enjoy. If food and playing games aren't exactly your thing, there's music for you. Yes, you can enjoy live performances by bands on specific nights. It gives the Greenfield Weekend Market some cool and chill vibe.

The Market’s pioneer vendors like Emy and Ody Concepcion Fruits, Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, Raffy’s Belly Good Cebu Lechon Belly, Kfry and many others still prove to be a force to be reckoned with, capturing the hearts their wide and loyal fan base.

TC’s Food Stall offers Pinoy homestyle recipes that can only be indulged at the Greenfield Weekend Market. On the menu are homegrown favorites like bagnet, caldereta spareribs, lechon paksiw, pork sisig and more.

Greenfield Weekend Market has more eats to choose from to satisfy different preferences of foodies such as shawarma from Habib's, smoked barbecue from Carnivore Cookery, Hungarian sausages from The Cut Premium Meat, chicken fingers from Fingers and Flavors, Mexican favorites from the Real Mexicanos and even Japanese favorites like takoyaki and ramen from Shumagorath Takoyaki.

A food stall serves fresh drinks such as buko juice, melon juice, cucumber, lemonade, dalandan and red iced tea. For native sweets and desserts, there are lechen flan, cheese cake, Taiwan milk tea, ice cream and even yoghurt. It's a weekend market so there are fruits, culinary herbs, spices, organic vegetables, brown rice, and salted eggs, as well for urbanites’ kitchen.

If you're artsy fartsy, you'd be happy to note that there are other stalls selling non-food items. For visitors looking for embroidered lockets, clay necklaces, key chains, vintage rings, necklaces, bracelets and artworks, the Market is your type of chill.

There are also bubble-blowing kits, colorful indoor and outdoor lanterns, hand-painted shirts, bags and dresses. Also, there are stalls selling books, vinyl records, shirts, artworks, toys, toiletry items, and many others.

Oh, and you could also get a chance to win a special merchandise from Greenfield Weekend Market too, Just upload at least 4 photos on Instagram and using the necessary hashtags.

The best part of my visit was seeing this Vietnamese woman cooked freshly made rice rolls right in front of me. They were cooked upon order so you're guaranteed it's I love that it's fresh and so affordable. I don't need to travel to Vietnam to have a taste of authentic Vietnamese food because it's right here at Greenfield Weekend Market.
