Smart Parenting Convention has about 70 plus concessionaires |
I have always looked forward to attending the Smart
Parenting Convention because like most parents, I get to learn so much from it.
We all know that parenting don’t come with a manual or textbook. It’s nice to
know that there are events organized annually such as Smart Parenting
Convention where they have guest speakers that talks about how it is to be a
good parent and how to properly raise kids. It’s the most anticipated event for
the year. Parenting as we all know is such a challenging job. You have to be a
parent 24/7 without getting paid for it, without having day-offs and all the
other perks that comes with any other kind of job. But it is something that’s
definitely worth it, it’s also a very noble yet fulfilling career.

Attending Smart Parenting Convention had always been fun.
Not only because of the learnings one can gain out of going there, but also
because of the many perks, huge discounts on shopping and lots of freebies that
comes along with it. Smart Parenting added fun and rewarding experience of
parenthood as they held and hosted another Smart Parenting Convention at SM
Megamall last June 29, 2019. The event was co-presented by Nido, powered by
PLDT Home Fibr, with minor sponsors Jack ‘n Jill, 3M Nexcare Products and Ariel

“We always get messages from our readers that we do SP Con
for two days! They always tell us they love the shopping and super appreciate
the talks,” said Leah Nemil-San Jose, EIC of Smart Parenting, the most credible
source of pregnancy and pregnancy information Filipino moms can rely on. I
personally could relate to it as I find the SP Con a bit “bitin” especially for
some of my mom friends who cannot leave the house on that specific day for
various reasons.
Here check out some of the babies and kids'stuff I had seen being sold during the SP Con 2019:

The Smart Parenting Convention is done annually but this
year they happen to have more than 70 concessionaires offering big discounts
and bundles. They’ve also got games, raffle prizes and booth activities for all
families to join. But what I truly loved was that they held three block topics
that help parents on taking their roles: they’ve got talks preparing for the
baby, recovering after the baby’s delivery, raising a toddler and so much more.
Some of the topics discussed were Childbirth Options and how
to prep for delivery day (by Dr. Maynila Domingo), Postpartum Care (Dr. Sybil
Bravo), Baby Milestones and Red Flags to Watch Out For (Dr. Ina Atutubo), Baby
Sleep Basics (Maria Campos Lopez), The Facts and The Curious: FAQs About
Parenting Toddlers Answered by Experts with Drs. Maria Josephine Yuson-Sunga,
Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta and Teacher Tina Zamora. Early Signs of Austism
Disorder were also discussed by Ms. Mona Magnu-Veluz, the National President of
the Autism Society of the Philippines. Power speaker couple Joy and Edric
Mendoza talked about Why You Need a Marriage Makeover After Kids. Highly-sought
speaker and award-winning book author, psychologist and guidance counselor Dr.
Michelle Alignay talked about Digital Parenting while Patricia Cuasay Fruto
spoke about How to Create a Home First Aid Kit.
