Banana is everyone's favorite |
If there’s
one fruit I’d love to have any time of the day, it would have to be banana. I
mean, who doesn’t love having a banana? It’s delicious, nutritious and is known
to be a great source of potassium. It’s also a no-fail comfort food for many of
us. That’s why it comes as no surprise that banana cake had also become a
favorite dessert that perfectly caps off each meal.

It’s such a
good thing that every time I crave for a banana cake, MAYA Oven Toaster Banana
Cake Mix makes it easier for me to create one right at my own kitchen! With some
creative juices, one can actually jazz up one’s banana cake and make it into an
exciting new dessert.
My friends
from The MAYA Kitchen recently sent me two boxes of my favorite MAYA Oven
Toaster Banana Cake Mix. I had to browse through recipes over recipes and I
recently discovered easy-to-do- recipes from The MAYA Kitchen and I’d be
sharing them to you on this blog entry so that you too can enjoy transforming
the classic banana cake into something more special.
MAYA Oven Toaster Banana Cake Mix |
There were
three recipes that I’m pretty sure you and your family will truly enjoy. There’s
Ice Cream Banana Bread, Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Cake and Banana Cake
Bites which the kids can even have for their snack during merienda time or as
baon in school.
Let’s get
started, shall we?
Banana Cake had always been everyone's favorite |
Ingredients:
1/3 cup oil
2 pieces egg
½ cup milk
6 pieces banana ripe and mashed
2 pack MAYA Oven Toaster Banana Cake
Mix 230 grams
1 pint vanilla flavored ice cream
1 pint chocolate flavored ice cream
Instructions:
Pre-heat
oven to 350 degrees Farenheit/177 degrees Celsius. Grease and line 9x4 loaf
pan. Set aside.
In a bowl,
mix oil, eggs, milk, and mashed bananas. Mix well.
Add banana
cake mix and mix well until blended.
Bake for 30
to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let it cool
for 5 to 10 minutes and remove banana bread from the pan. Slice banana bread
into 3 parts.
Line the
loaf pan with plastic wrap and place the bottom part of the banana bread, then
pour and spread the vanilla flavored ice
cream, then put on top of the ice cream the mid part of the banana bread, then
pour and spread the chocolate flavored ice cream, then lastly, put the top
layer of the banana bread.
Cover the
ice cream banana bread with plastic wraps and place it in the freezer for 1 to
2 hours or until the ice cream freeze again.
Slice ice
cream banana bread and drizzle it with chocolate sauce [optional]. Serve.
Ingredients:
1 pack MAYA Oven Toaster Banana Cake
Mix 230 grams
1 piece egg
2 pieces ripe banana mashed
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
¼ cup water
Peanut Butter Glaze
¼ cup confectioner’s sugar
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons milk
Peanut butter chips or chocolate
chips for topping
Instructions:
Pre-heat
oven to 350 degrees Farenheit/177 degrees Celsius. Grease and line an 8x3-inch
loaf pan. Set aside.
In a bowl,
combine cake mix, eggs, mashed bananas, oil and water.
Pour batter
in prepared pan.
Bake in the
pre-heated oven for 30-35 minutes or until cake is set and lightly golden
brown.
In a bowl,
mix together glaze ingredients until smooth
Drizzle prepared
glaze onto cooled cake, top with peanut butter chips and or chocolate chips, as
desired.
Yield: 4-6
servings

Ingredients:
¼ cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons dark rum
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 pieces ripe bananas sliced
¼ cup toasted cashew nuts chopped
1 pack MAYA Oven Toaster Banana Cake
Mix 230 grams
3 tablespoons oil
¼ cup water
2 pieces ripe bananas mashed
1 piece egg
Instructions:
Pre-heat
oven oven to 350 degrees Farenheit/177 degrees Celsius. Grease two 12-hole mini
muffin pans.
Make the
sauce, in a microwave safe bowl, mix together brown sugar and butter.
Microwave
until butter melts. Stir to combine. Add in the rum and vanilla extract.
Add a
teaspoon of the mixture into the muffin pan. Then place a slice of banana on
top and sprinkle with chopped cashews. Set aside.
In a bowl,
mix together oil, water, mashed bananas, and egg. Stir in banana cake mix until
well combined. Drop cake batter into prepared muffin tins.
Bake for
10-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Remove from muffin tins. Serve
upside down.
Yield: 24
