Olay Age Defying with Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Gel Product Review

I’m not exactly someone who can be considered as a beauty junkie although admittedly I’ve got a lot of skincare products that I’d try from time to time. I’m not so much into makeup and cosmetics, but having clear skin is an essential part of me. I’d get panic when I’d get a small zit here and there. Thank God for my good genes, pimple breakouts, and cystic acne isn’t part of my worries. Although I do have sensitive dry skin, I’m not afraid to try new skincare products, especially when it’s from branded ones—products that my family has trusted for years like Olay. I recently had the privilege of trying this exciting Olay product called Olay Age Defying with Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Gel beauty jar.

The Olay Age Defying with Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Gel beauty jar was given to me as a Christmas present last year by my boyfriend’s mother. It was also a gift given to her by her only daughter who had been living in Canada for almost a decade now. Since she was given two beauty jars of this elixir, she chose to share it with me and I had never been truly grateful. I’m not sure if this age elixir is, in fact, available in the Philippines. I guess not, because I tried searching for this product elsewhere but couldn’t find anything. There may be other Olay age-defying product lines here in the country, but none of them looked exactly like this Olay hydrating gel moisturizer.

Unlike other face products I’ve had tried, Olay Age Defying with Hyaluronic Moisturizing gel smells refreshing and relaxing the minute I smelled and opened its jar. I’m not so sure of its other contents but I have always trusted Olay as it was the same brand my grandma had used back when she was still around.  The content was a powder bluish gel. The first thing I’ve noticed upon first application, it was very light on the face and it had no greasy-after feel. Perhaps, I had to thank the fact that it is indeed gel-based. It felt like you had no product on your face at all. And I think it works well as you sleep because I would put it before going to bed at night on my face and neck. And you know what? I wake up feeling refreshed with soft smooth skin the very next day.

As for the anti-aging part, perhaps I need to buy more of this beauty jar for me to know if it really works or not. But Hyaluronic is known to be something that’s good for one’s skin. I happen to have really super dry skin. It gets worse during the summer and the holiday season when it gets too cold. This product from Olay is my perfect companion for those stressful seasons. It makes my skin feel hydrated and moisturized yet it’s not going to be too oily to clog pores and end up with zits and blackheads.

My only wish is that I hope this beauty jar gets to be available in the country. But for now, I guess I have to scout for some online business shop where I can ask them to buy this jar for me. As for its price, of course, it’s not cheap. You won’t get something as effective if it’s cheap. It’s part of what you had to pay for. So for me, that’s pretty understandable if it’s a little pricey for a beauty routine product. Nevertheless, I guess it’s okay for as long as you can see the results and it won’t irritate your skin. Since this product is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, I didn’t have any problem with my sensitive dry skin.
