Where to Get the Best Cake Loaves: Check out Chef MG's on Facebook

Looking for a cake for an occasion or just for personal purposes? Pick a cake or a loaf (or even your choice of cupcake) from Chef MG. We sift through the best baked goodies from our latest food discovery. Don't worry – the perfect cake or loaf is not a lie. We're pretty sure there'd be something you'd fancy with the variety of loaves and yummy cakes that Chef MG is offering.

The humble home-based bakery is hidden in a quiet neighborhood in Quezon City and its cakes are just unassuming. The simple Carrot Pineapple Loaf Cake comes with soft, moist sponge cake with pineapple chunks sandwiched between the sponges. The carrots and pineapple work together to keep this cake moist and wholesome.

Chef MG's version of Carrot Cake with Pineapple is a healthy version of the classic dessert that usually has cream cheese frosting. This Carrot Cake with Pineapple is lower in terms of sugar content and uses not much lesser butter. It only seems fitting to dive headfirst into this healthy recipe of carrot cake.

Old-timer favorites like Squash-Raisin Loaf, Chocolate Loaf, Sweetcorn Loaf Cake and cupcakes are the star attraction here but if you're only left with one choice--it has to be their rich and moist Banana Cake that's got to be it. True to their promise, Chef MG's cakes are rich and good--filled with delicious homemade cake loaves and priced at an affordable P270 at 625grams per loaf. Yes, all the goodness and love for that price that's not going to hurt your pockets.

Chef MG's knows what cake fiends want, and how to do it just right. It had the right amount of sweetness that tastes good, you won't get tired of eating them. Chef MG's cake loaves golden brown top yields to fork, and crumbles like no ordinary cake does--but in the best way possible, because you're delivered a well-balanced, textural contrast of fluffy creaminess against some crunchy base, punctuated with a tinge of zesty sweetness that never gets cloying.

Helmed by young entrepreneurs, sisters Melissa and Michelle Garcia, with every purchase of Chef MG's product, you are helping young people reach their full dreams and full potentials as budding entrepreneurs and contributors to the country's economy especially at this time of pandemic. Just like everyone, Michelle had discovered her knack for baking while being on quarantine. With the help of her supportive family, particularly her indefatigable mom, she was able to start her small business. An HRM graduate, Michelle has partnered with her sister Melissa (who had a degree in business and some background in marketing) who does the costing for their baking business.

For the more health-conscious, Chef MG's also offer healthier cake options for those with dietary requirements. You can also opt for lesser sugar for those who do not like sugary stuff.

I love to sink my teeth on Chef MG's Banana Cake Loaf. It was the moistest cake I've ever eaten. Stick-to-the-back of your fork moist! It's sweet and tangy, sinking into the top of the cake made it even moister. Sweet alright but not overpowering. Mega banana flavor, certainly more banana flavor than any banana bread I've ever eaten nor baked in the past. Very buttery in taste and cakey from the creaming of the butter and sugars. Ridiculously rich decadent.

When it comes to traditional no-frills chocolate cake, Chef MG's always comes down to their choco loaf or muffins. It really is a matter of preference. Chef MG's fudge cake loaf is rich in flavor and doesn't skimp on the chocolate or any ingredient for that matter. The taste is more well-balanced. Meh about chocolate? Chef MG's has other cakes as well.
