Actor/Politician John Marvin “Yul Servo” Nieto is publicly unveiling his most esteemed role yet, hosting his second solo
art exhibition — which runs through at The Art Gallery of Manila Hotel starting
June 11. Titled “Directions II,” it’s a collection of contemporary metal artworks
that the actor/politician has made. We will highlight ‘Yul Servo’ the artist in
this one-of-a-kind medium as metal artwork gets center stage.

Art isn’t a new pandemic hobby or venture that Nieto is just
now tackling head-on. Although best known for being a recipient of the Best
Actor award from the Brussels Independent Film Festival, Nieto began pursuing the
visual arts because it runs in his blood. His dad, Martin Nieto is an
architecture graduate and visual artist who pioneered the giant billboard
advertising industry in the country.

Nieto had his first solo exhibit in February of this year at
the Pinto Art Museum in Antipolo City. A unique artist, Nieto creates
symphonies out of mosaics from various metals. His pieces provoke contemplation
and stir curiosity. His artful creations are inspired by his musings, reveries, and dreams.
