Pinoy pride reigns supreme as Catriona Gray’s wax figure arrives in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

 



Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed singer, model, and beauty queen Catriona Gray as the newest addition to the tourist attraction's all-star lineup of wax figures. Catriona is well-known for being a great icon, for her Miss Universe journey, but also for her zealous advocacy and generosity. Yes, Catriona Gray joins fellow Miss Universe Filipino beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach in having her wax figure at Madam Tussauds. 

Catriona's wax figure debut at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong on August 31, 2023, is a source of inspiration, talent, and pride for followers all over the world.

Catriona, who is well-known for winning the Miss Universe pageant in 2018 and for her tireless advocacy work, was first memorialized with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Singapore.

The launch date is set for 2022. Celebrating this momentous occasion, the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong team together with Catriona initiated launch efforts that pumped up the excitement for this move. Philippine Consul General Mr. Raly L. Tejada also graced the event to show their appreciation.

The show began with the wax presentation and an intimate Q&A with Catriona. Catriona's supporters were also able to connect and engage with her during the event, which added to the excitement. After the show, fans were able to enjoy the iconic tourist attraction experience and get up close and personal with their favorite characters by seeing Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.



In the much-anticipated unveiling, Catriona shared, “Every opportunity like this marks an exciting start not just for me but everyone who wishes to visit Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. The Philippines is a country beaming with talent and potential, and the fact that we have Pinoy names in the displays proves that we can represent our country with pride and so much more.“

The wax figure is now available for the public and can be found at the Fashion Zone of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. Filipino citizens in Hong Kong can enjoy a special rate of PHP 1287 (HKD 178) upon presenting a Hong Kong ID and Philippine passport at the admission counter. This package includes one admission ticket and one VIP Digi Pass. Regular combo retails at PHP 2,159 (HKD 299).
